Paul Davey


Paul Davey came to Australia from England in 1966 and became a cadet reporter on The Daily Advertiser newspaper in Wagga Wagga, NSW. He worked extensively as a news and current affairs reporter in Australia and overseas, including for Associated Press of America in Southern Africa, the Nine Network, and ABC Radio’s AM and PM programmes in Western Australia, Queensland and the Canberra Press Gallery.

From 1978 to 2000 he held several senior positions with the National Party of Australia, including nearly 10 years as Federal Director and more than three years as NSW General Secretary.

Paul is married with three adult children, he runs a small cattle property near Mudgee, NSW, and is an accomplished country music singer and song writer.
