James Metzger


James Metzger is a Visiting Fellow and Sessional Lecturer in the Law Faculty of the University of New South Wales. His doctoral thesis examines the political implications of class action legislation in Australia and the United States and his further research interests include civil procedure and comparative evidence law. He received his Masters in Law from UNSW and his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to visiting at UNSW, James practiced general commercial litigation at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. and bankruptcy litigation at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, LLC, both in New York City. He is admitted to the New York Bar, the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
